This started as a solo project by me, DC, the former bass player/co-singer for Boston Indie-Punk-Psych-Rock group Awakening Stick. I wanted a creative outlet for my harder edged tunes that were too heavy for AwakStik.
I like to put true stories to music. Intense stories and intense music all based on real situations that anyone could relate to. Kind of angry at the world but with a self-deprecating sense of humor. Throw in a little geeky sci-fi/gamer vibe and some punk attitude along with some hard rock roots and you can kind of get the picture.
Then I put together a crew to help get these tunes out to live shows. Jessica (from local punk goddesses Apple Betty) is on bass. Glen Anderson plays guitar and Dan Jeffs is on drums. Things kind of took off from there. The sound was amazing and it all fell together so well that we decided to re-record the whole project.
We were in the studio recently to do all new versions of the original project tunes. CD release show will be in April '09. More to come . . . .
