...are a nice new phenomenon. I don't understand people who are in tribute bands all year long, but I like this. I can't make the Luxury show, but I love the concept. Did Phish start this with their concert of the White Album?

My old band talked about doing Appetite for Destruction for a Halloween gig but we never got it together.

But please keep doing these things, rock band people.

Really think they're pretty much played out for the most part at this point. A few years ago, when there were a handful it was kind of cool. Now it's just overboard and most of them end up not being very good.

not counting al sheinfeld's zombie band shows (all covers, but of all different stuff --- theme from The Blob, etc., none of this Monster Mash shit), never seen any of these --- but i'd kill to see coffin lids doing the mummies, that's gotta be pretty special - !

i think they're a great idea, and i'm really glad we've got so many options. i'd love to be part of a halloween tribute show some time.

I think they're fun, but there's way too many now. Of course, I'm in one so I can't talk, but we've been doing it for 5 years at least.

I'd still like to do a Birthday Party/Nick Cave tribute show some time...

we talked about playing as the kids one year for halloween but like 5 people around here know of them and even less would care.

spitzz doing the glitter band thing last year totally fucking ruled. it all comes down to execution, and a lot of people do that horribly.

that about sums it up. if it's done well, it's great, if it's not it sucks. Increase the % of bands dong it & the % of suck rises exponentially.
