pretty unfortunate that the one mod who strayed from all the BS/gossip threads; knows his music from HC to metal; had no problem taking 4 hours out of his "real" work day for a thread dedicated to the Middle East crisis; and, loved OPAY with such a a passion, decides to resign.

Thanks for everything, Jonah. I think you know that I heart you to the max, and was proud to work with you on this project. Your knowledge and integrity--not to mention that indefinable "it factor" that envelops you and everything you do (don't roll your eyes; it may sound cheesy, but it's true)--added something to the board that couldn't have been brought by anyone else. I'll always wax nostalgic for the Noise Board days of you, me, jonerik, and T-Bone. It was a fun team and a good one, and I think we had a cool thing going here for a long time. End of an era, for sure.

To me, the strength of the Noiseboard has been the quality of its "citizens." With Achick, Jonerik, Jonah, and T-Bone at the helm this litle cyber-spot was a immensely interesting and involving place to participate in. I learned and laughed and and became frustrated, but mostly learned and laughed.

In the last year I've been far less active - or more of a nite-time participant - as my workplace blocks bulletin boards. The Noiseboard has changed in that time.
