That Black Lips tune is probably my fave. Had I done a non-vindaloo mix, that song would've been on it.

i haven't had a chance to listen to this but you picked my favorite turpentine brothers song so bravo. plus yeah as t-bone said, that black lips song is awesome not to mention nervous and the gun club. a bunch of this stuff is things i've been meaning to ask to listen to as i've heard you babble on about it. particularly the goodnight loving. i really need to listen to this.

I haven't made it all the way through this yet, but this is awesome. I love that Goodnight Loving song and I was thrilled to see you put Black Lips and Cococoma and Headache City on there, since I've been interested in hearing those bands based on the raves I've heard and I missed the shows. I also smiled when I saw Dexy's Midnight Runners on the track list. Good one.
I'm disappointed that you had to cut the Angry Angles track because I've been Angry Angles curious.
Great stuff.

I've just finished disc one I love almost all of it, but I'll list my favorites:
Lamps - Rototiller
Dexy's - Tell me when my light turns green
Ian Lloyd - Slip Away - great, great song
Gary Glitter - Doing Alright With the Boys - I need to get me some more Gary Glitter!
Dead Moon - Fire in the Western World
Dicks - Kill From the Heart - by far my favorite song on this mix (disc one)
Johnny Moped - Panic Button
Hipshakes - OK, Alright - I bet this is a really fun live show - are they still around?
Regulations - Going Nowhere
Marked Men- A Little Time
Rancid X - Intoxication
King Kahn And BBQ - Too Much in Love - I think I have a cocktail party / dinner party mix in the making with some of these songs!
When I was going through growth spurts as an adolescent, I used to hear voices in my head, have sweats, etc. Clockcleaner "Gentle Swastika" brought me right back to those days. Thanks.
I'm happy to have so much music from your vaults, Ack. Thanks for sharing.

danke.
hipshakes are indeed still around. they're a new band from england. they have three singles out. all awesome. young high strung guys (i think they're all teenagers) and, from the videos i've seen of them live, they're kooks. hopefully they'll do a proper tour sometime next year.

Just finished the first disc, will have to get back to you on the second. You always make great mix discs and this one is no let down. Pretty much all fun stuff so here are a few of the stand outs:Swell Maps, Livefastdie, Gary Glitter, Dicks, Dogs, Johnny Moped, Marked Men, of course the Kidnappers and Hubble Bubble. I just ordered Hubble Bubbles two albums on disc. After hearing them here I can't wait to get them.

Ordered them from that dude in Japan. Made the order last week so I'm not sure when they will get here. Was a pretty good deal though, $54.00 including registered mail.

i'm glad you did this math. i couldn't figure out how much they cost and was lazy to do conversions.
i may just wait til they're reissued on vinyl next year, but who knows.

Actually I didn't haft do any math. You hafta email the dude first and tell him what you want. He then gives you the break down to the yen/dollar. After that it was a matter of paying him in yen on my PayPal account.

The only band that I had known anything about really on here is Turpentine Brothers. I’ve always thought Tara was ridiculously cool but hadn’t heard anything by them, other than one of their sets that I caught a few years ago at the Beachcomber. So I was pretty sure I’d like their track and I did.
Anyway, have always been intrigued with the # of bands AckAckAckAck mentions that I know nothing about so was really looking forward to this.
Very cool stuff. Probably something that I would need to listen to several times and that is one of the biggest compliments that I could give. Some of my favorites on here:
Cheveau
LiveFastDie (sounds like one of the best Ramones tunes I’ve never heard)
Dexy’s Midnight Runners
Dead Moon
The Dogs
The King Khan and BBQ Show
Goodnight Loving
Black Lips-Incredibly awesome. What should I pick up by these guys?
On a complete side note, T Bone rules for putting a disc together of both group mixes to be able to hear all this stuff.

"not a problem" came off
Let It Bloom. I recommend getting that one first. the second record is also quite good (
we did not know....), but LIB is retardedly excellent beginning to end.
