Again, lots of good ones left out; Renoir, Polanski, Fassbinder, Truffaut, Preminger, and so on. And there are a few - particularly George Lucas - whose inclusion is questionable. But we're limited to 25 choices, so there you are. Still, have fun with it.

With apologies to coughlin, Oliver Stone is the most overrated director of the century, so glad to see him omitted. Also hugely overrated: Brian De Palma. Derivative/manipulative hack.

Yup. That's precisely why they're not on there.
