The MayFlys are a Boston–based (Somerville) original rock band that embraces a power pop mentality with roots in punk. People have said we sound like the Chameleons UK, Oasis, Buffalo Tom, the Meatmen and the Misfits. Go figure…

Guitarist and lead singer John Pedini is a former member of the band The Incontinentals and a current member of the band Frank Booth’s Car. Bass player Brian Flynn is a founding member of the band Onebigmess. Drummer Matt Gardner is a newcomer to the music scene and brings his own unique style to the MayFlys.

The MayFlys take themselves lightly but take their show seriously. We are very audience-friendly and try to get everyone involved.

The band has recorded an EP entitled “A Life in a Day”. Tracks include “With Myself”, “Mrs. Plaid”, “Forgettable Pop Song”, and “Why Can’t You Be More Like Hillary Swank?”
