We have a vacancy in our lovely 4 bedroom apartment in Brighton center.
One roommate is moving out April 1st and another roommate will be a home owner and moved out by May 1st.
We are taking this opportunity to ease the traffic jam at the bathroom by looking for one roommate with whom to split the apartment three ways.
You would spend April in a smaller bedroom (for cheaper rent), then move to a more spacious bedroom across the hall.

You’ll need first and last to move in, so 500 to the landlord and 500 to our old roommate by April 1st.
Starting in May, the rent would then be 666.66 (or we could round it off somehow so as not to invoke the devil) and we would even up the deposit (167 dollars more)

This price does not reflect the utilities (electric, gas, internet), which peaks around 140 a month in the dead of winter, though is significantly less for most of the year.

There is Allston/Brighton permit parking, and some on-street parking. The 86 is right on the corner, the 57 and 65 are a couple blocks up the road and the B line is about a ten minute walk away. There is plenty of room for bicycles.

The apartment is two-floors. On the first, there are two porches (front and back), the kitchen, the living room, a taken bedroom, the bathroom, and a small room that is currently a painting studio (this could be yours!). On the second floor there are three bedrooms (one taken and the two vacancies, the bigger of which is pictured). There is a coin-op washer/dryer in the basement, and a free dryer in our kitchen. We don’t have bug or mouse problems! (I’ve only ever seen one mouse and I know for certain it is no longer living.) We are pretty easy to live with, not really messy, not too clean, don’t throw a lot of parties and we work full-time. You can smoke on the porches but not in the house. No pets please (maybe really small ones as long as they or their smell don’t leave your room).

There is no lease here; we are tenants-at-will. We’ve lived here for years with no problems and get along well with our awesome landlord who lives downstairs. Just be responsible and pay rent on time and we'll probably get along famously. We have no gender pref, although if you do, we are both men.
