The late 90's deserve some real evaluating as the nadir of popular music.

I'd have to agree.
Fortunately I was well (and comfortably) out of the loop by then.

Who's Fred Durst?

That era's rap-rock hybrid would've been the musical equivalent of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups if Reese's Peanut Butter Cups tasted like shit.

Who's Fred Durst?

He's the famous consumer product face model. His likeness has inspired many consumer products; none more famous than the douchebag.

The late 80's were bad (Rehashed classic rockers making bland synth pop), hair metal, frothy/slick R&B...still, I'd take a Slaughter ballad over pretty much any nu-metal.

Remember when Fred Durst left that band Taproot a voicemail because they didn't sign with him and he sounded like a complete douchebag and the guys from that band passed around the voicemail so everybody could listen to how much of a dink he was? Memba?

Also I may or may not have attended a Family Values Tour.

No way.

At least these faggots played rock.

I will take Winger and Trixter over Limp Bizkit and Red Hot Chili Peppers any day.

Something tells me it was because of the jacked up price of mountain dew/faygo and not water.
