i don't think there was one second of the real bulk of the movie in that trailer. i haven't seen the trailer in a while, but if i remember correctly it concentrated mainly on pitt's nazi killers. and honestly, they make up less than half the movie. the bulk of the movie is something else entirely.

the trailer made it look like it was going to be 2 and a half hours of nazi scalping, torture, etc. like ww2 by way of hostel (even the poster with the bloody baseball bat gave it that feel), but its nothing like that at all.

to the spelling error in the name, there's a few possiblities....to differentiate it from the movie called INGLORIOUS BASTARDS (it is definitely NOT a remake of this movie)...also, the title card on the movie is based on the inscription of one of the soldiers rifle butts (i'm guessing pitt's?) and whomever carved it there wasn't the best of spellers...

the crowd i saw it on friday night with was kinda strange...lots of old folks and lots of really young folks. not many in the middle.

as the credits rolled there was this 16 or 17 year old kid directly behind us that said something that cracked me up. "that movie was so awesome, i'm gonna buy it make my sister watch it!"

i have no idea what that really means, but it struck me as hilarious...

This movie absolutely ruled. That guy (SS Landa) made me uncomfortable in every scene he was in. He was great. I definitely will go back and see this again.
