I need to take the green line to the blue line Friday morning around 6 AM...does the T start running that early? I can't find ANY definitive answers on mbta.com and their trip planner is telling me to take a commuter rail, which doesn't make any sense. Does anyone know when this stupid train system starts running?

On weekdays the various subway lines start running between 5:15 and 5:30am. 6:00am should be do-able if you have a direct transfer, and your destination is within walking distance of the station.

Thanks! That's really good to have. I looked for sooo long and couldn't find anything. I still don't understand why the trip planner is telling me to take the commuter rail to the airport.

Yeah, they don't really make it easy to find. It took some clicking.

Try this instead of the MBTA trip planner:

Maybe she's getting confused with the silver line? To someone that doesn't take public transportation, it probably sounds like it would be a silver train.

Nope, I'm quite familiar with public transportation, just not with using it early in the morning, ha. It definitely says to take the Framingham/Worcester Line to South Station and then switch to the Silver Line. The only reason I was using trip planner was to make sure the green line started running early enough.
