No Respect for the home team the Cars & Boston sold at least 5 Mil each while I would have never heard of "bleach" if it wasn't for Nevermind was it even as strong as PJ Ten??? it is a noisely little Cd which was made for about $1,056 so I do give it up for it but not top 100 and its top 10...lists confused1.gif

The "Fruits, Cats and Kimonos" link
above the header is far more entertaining.

The omission of The Cars & Boston is ridiculous. Just goes to show how flawed these lists always seem to be.

This list is a compilation by some oddball on amazon.com. It's noting more than some nerd's opinion. Not really worth discussing.

Never Mind the Bullocks, Here's the Sex Pistols.

The End.

...sixpin and I were just laughing yesterday about all the idiots who went out and bought Bleach after Nevermind went big. It's really just a crappy demo.

Ramones isn't even ON THERE ANYWHERE.

Case closed.

Less obvious omissions are Marshall Crenshaw and Nick Lowe.

Absolutely right that this is not worth discussing but Dylan's self-titled first album is GREAT.

All you have to do is listen to the "Fixin' to Die"...

Rest assured that I wasn't trying to play Tony the Tiger here.

I see that era of Bob Dylan as the Green Day of 1962, only not as well executed.

The world would think they were copping The Strokes' act.

More than half the songs on that 1st VU record are junk.

I wouldn't say "junk" as much as "somewhat trite, but cool, 1960s pop, filtered through a sort-of art damaged lens."

But "Heroin," "Venus in Furs," and "Waiting for The Man" could each carry an entire album of Leif Garrett songs on their own so it's a moot point anyhow.

Top ten for me since I was 13, the first VU album.
