As Nate Silver notes on fivethirtyeight.blogspot.com, his estimates show Obama with an eight point lead, and the CBS poll has trended 3 points on the Obama side all campaign. Throw in the staistical margin of error, and you get to 14 points. That said, it is a projected 8 point lead with under 3 weeks to go. |

Note that in the Bradley case, the race was down to a statistical dead heat at the time of election. He had not maintained the lead he had earlier. |
