NoiseBoard Mix - Summer 2008 01. The Dawn - Osibisa (7.03) 02. Bossa 31 - Rosalia de Souza (6.43) 03. Mais Que Nada - Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66 (2.36) 04. Sunny - Part 2 - Les McCann (2.37) 05. A Man and a Woman - Herbie Mann and Tamiko Jones (2.24) 06. Blue Rondo a la Turk - The Dave Brubeck Quartet (6.44) 07. Ma Plus Belle Annee - Romuald (2.59) 08. Twisting with James - Dr. No Soundtrack (3.11) 09. Nobody Does It Better - Radiohead(3.17) 10. You Only Live Twice - Coldplay (4.05) 11. Bambino - OSS 117 Soundtrack (3.18) 12. In These Shoes - Kirsty MacColl (3.38) 13. Clandestino - Manu Chao (2.28) 14. Hard Road to Travel - Jimmy Cliff (2.34) 15. Paper Planes - M.I.A (3.23) 16. Wipe That Sound - Mouse On Mars (4.09) 17. Walking On Air - King Crimson (4.38) I'm always less than 100% satisfied by my mixes. But I've grown to like this one. My guiding idea behind this mix was to pull together something that "sounds like summer" - perhaps the soundtrack to a cook-out or BBQ. So, something lighter with variety and fun, and with a few curios thrown in. I hope you enjoy it! |

But I threw it on while reading in my backyard on a sunny day and was like Holy Shit, life is good. And I've been following MIA since she came out...her new record is pretty cool. It's funny that the "extra tracks" on Kala are some of the best ones.... Thumbs up! |

I hate jazz, and coldplay fucking suck! but, I am digging this as summer background stuff. The sequencing is great and it makes you feel like you are living in a james bond flick!

PERFECT for driving around in this heat! I took my car to the garage, and CHI CHI the mechanic was INTO IT Listening again......I love the way it starts.....no music just sounds for awhile.....what is that from? reminds me of WHEN WE WERE KINGS sound track more later |

Presumably sounds from early one morning in the heart of Africa...  |
