Anyone been to the Dodge music center in Hartford?, Is there tailgating or too much security? Options

I've heard a few differing opinions on whether I can get a little drink on in the parking lot before a show, or if there are too many golf-cart cops.

Anybody been there?

I'd really like to get a much cheaper buzz on in the parking lot then pay $8 or whatever it is for beers inside.

Is that the Meadows? If so, when did it get renamed as the Dodge music Center. Crappy name.

I have done some quality tailgating there, but it's been at least 8 or 9 years since I've been there.

Yeah, if that's what used to be called the Meadows, then it was always cool when I went. That was about 8-10 years ago, but I never saw too many cops.

Yeah, I'm assuming it's the Meadows.
I was just wondering because when I mentioned I was going there to a few different people, they immediately said "Oh man, they are real strict about no tailgating"
But then other people I brought this up to said that it was very similar to Great Woods (where I've enjoyed many a tasty beverage in the lot)

We stayed at a little motel right next to it and tailgated in their parking lot. The lot was full of tailgaters. Then we just walked over to the concert. When we came back after the show at least 10 people were stumbling around drunk going "Dude... someone stole my car!" Of course their cars weren't stolen, they just got towed because they weren't staying at the motel. We tailgated again until the security gaurd told us we had to put out the grill fire.
