I didn't think it possible, but Mick Mars looks more and more like a corpse every year.

it's not so bad that it's the Crue, I mean, I don't dig 'em but they were pretty big, but their supporting bands, Papa Roach, Trapt? who listens to that crap? C'mon. It's like one of those dealies where you could wipe out a large chunk of the douchefuck meathead population in one fell swoop.

They said the new album will be "based on 'the dirt' "
But hey...they got Papa Roach to bring them current...to 2001 |

AS much as I love the OLD Crue..they are so done,,This tour is gonna suck on all aspects. I just watched a clip on the press confrence..Vince Neil has to be the absolute WORST singer,,if you can even call it that..

I've heard the album.. it sounds like clasic crue.. most of it...
Saw the Crue in 2005 and they were awesome.. the show me your tits portion was kinda dumb.. but the band and the setlist was awesome... I saw Papa Roach in 2000 and thought they were just OK.. Never really followed them after that until Jacoby showed up at my friends last summer and I got to shoot the shit with him, gave us passes to the show the next night at BOA and they were actually really good. Better than they were on 2000. I think I saw Cristobal there.. nyeah.. Buckcherry played that show also.. I like a few of their songs but I wasn't impressed with their live show.. They did that "Crazy Bitch" song and mixed it with "The Stroke".. Interesting mix but I don't really care for "Crazy Bitch" anyway and their "Lit It Up" track sounds like Axl Rose singing "Cold Gin".. Bleh! Sixx:A.M. is Nikki Sixx's other band. The CD is not bad. Don't know much more about them. The only thing I know by Trapt was a song they about 6 years ago called "Headstrong".. Don't really have an opinion on them.. I am going to this show though.. For Motley Crue & Papa Roach alone.. and the booze.. and the chicks.. that's it though.. maybe some weed. I dunno.. It's gonna be a good time regardless.. |

They passed embarrassing about 10 years ago. Probably longer.
Buckcherry make sense, musically. They have the same management as the Crue, too, and their new record's gone platinum and they've gotten a lot of radio play. They'll help the draw with the salt of the earth Crue people. I really like their first record. New one is pretty good, with the exception of Crazy Bitch, which I find embarrassing. I can't believe guys in their 40s thought that was a cool idea. Papa Roach have moved out of rap rock and kind of made themselves a "modern version" of cock rock. Even their image and what not is more glammy/cock rockish. They're on the radio, and still have an OK draw. Again, most of their fans at this point are the same people who'd go see Crue. They also opened the GNR tour in 06/07. The singer seems like a nice guy. I'd say their music borderlines on audio terrorism. Trapt? Come on. That's just mind boggling. I really can't comprehend who the hell listens to them or why they're on any tour. Just totally out of left field. It's a sad commentary on Motley Crue that they consider Papa Roach and Trapt to be relevant "young bands." Both bands peaked 5 years ago, at least, and in Trapt's case, their "peak" was a valley. I've only heard the Sixx AM single/video. I was actually offended. |

Hey a bigger, SLEAZIER(on bands yeah it's too much a mish-mash, but hey it may work) Posion or Ozzy Summer fest shows! Personally all I wanna see the Van Halen tour(that is IF it can even happen... again)that's it, I'll go to this just for atmosphere.

Sure the Crue are way past their expiration date. But I'd rather see them than VH or G'n'R at this point.

I already got tickets to this. I was all about the Crue in 1989 and 1990. I saw them only once at the Orpheum where they had the brilliant idea of playing ONLY songs off of their new album at the time, "Generation Swine".... which was a complete piece of shit.
Hopefully they redeem themselves here. But I expect Buckcherry to blow them off the stage. |

Although there's one track(besides "Afraid" that reminds me of a hair metal attempt @ Joy Division rock sensibilities) is "Rocketship" which I actually like alot... been cranking Cruella de Motley alot since the new single "Saints of Los Angeles" came out. Yes, Buckcherry will be impressive, MOST Impressive! |

Sure the Crue are way past their expiration date. But I'd rather see them than VH or G'n'R at this point. Axl's "GNR" is fucking incredibly tight live and put on a great show. I saw 2 shows on the 02 and had bootlegs to about 5 others and voice was in great shape. If you want to talk about the "old GNR" Velvet Revolver would mop the floor with Motley Crue at this point. |

I heard the 2002 GNR bootlegs and I have to agree the band was tight as hell.. but Axl's voice wasn't.. Nobody can mop the floor with Motley Crue.. maybe RATT.. but then again, maybe not.. VR's first album was great, the second was ehhhh..... |
