He is more likely a billionaire for getting involved with the publishing of songs from other artists. He was shrewd enough to realize after all the b.s. of the Beatles business that the real money was owning song catelogues.

Anyway, his marriage to Heather Mills was very shortly after Linda's death. I think the guy was in a haze of mourning at the time of his marriage to Heather. Paul still has a child with Heather. I feel bad for the guy because he should be not worrying about this stuff at his age.
