There are stories that republicans are planning in Texas to go vote for Obama. This ad might have been a subtle "be careful what you wish for" message to stem that tide. Ohio clearly is a swing state and Texas is conservative leaning so this cleary is also a tack to the right for her on what might be Obama's weak spot. It doesn't appear this is going to work in this election cycle which "change" has replacted "security" for the vital center votes. The calculus is how many centrist voters this will draw vs. how many she will alienate. Indeed this is the begining of their attempts to frame perceptions of not only Obama but also McCain as a man of integrity who speaks out against such tactics. The funny thing is while that will help McCain in the center, capital conservatives pundits are ripping him for his apology the other day for the intruction he got that used the same ploy.
Jay Severin went so far as to say Juan McCain has already blown his first chance at reconciling with real conservatives. |

It's pretty bad that the mainstream media, both print and broadcast, get wet every time Obama speaks and if you dare criticize him, you're "mean spirited" ( which means you want to keep more of your own money) or a "racist". I'm no fan of Hillary,but I think it's a legit ad and a legit question to ask (point to consider: Would you want to hear Hillary's screeching voice at 3 am?). That being said, I'm voting for McCain
