It's High School, Adult Style.
You are your current self, yet find yourself trapped in a giant High School called "Boston". You must conform or have your books endlessly dumped by members of the other bloodthirsty social circles. What group do you socialize with?

Lots of hating on the jocks around here, what with the Red Sox frenzy and all.

For the record, I'm sure I'd be a Metalhead, and I'd spend more time trying to get laid.

Hmm. I didn't fit into any group. I was an athlete (field hockey, swimming), was in the band (played French horn...and I played piano independently...then I quit the band after an argument with the director when a concert conflicted with a swim meet), I read a lot of science fiction, had a jock boyfriend who appreciated good music (but couldn't play an instrument), and liked cats, but I saw pretty much every metal band that came to the Worcester Centrum in the '80s (mainly because his best friend's father owned Out-Of-Town tickets and we basically just went to everything because we could. I graduated in '84). I was on the fringe of every social group yet part of none of them. And if I had to do it over, I'd probably still do it the same way.

I'd be born in 1912.

I think, (I'm not positive) that I'm one in what is one of the smallest "generations" on record, and that as a result we lacked this sort of social order.

The average class size was 16 and in four years it dwindled to 12.

So, while I don't see myself in any of them; I've been in all of them.

I think that, as a mature adult (I'm assuming here), you would not see yourself fall neatly into a category, but this is a hypothetical, highly segregated High School where you fit into a group, or languish in wedgieville. Now pick!

Edit: I should have included the disco/rap crowd. You know, the Toyota driving, tight shirt wearing, ecstasy swallowing, dancing crew. I apologize for forgetting you.

I had universal appeal, but I belonged to/hung out with no groups. So, I'd make friends with everyone, and my books would stay intact.

I'd hang with the black kids and go to Harvard and become a scientist.

I would have been a jock. I've always wished to look like a hard body, even though I've always had a smooshy body.

And I would have talked more in school instead of kept so quiet.

I'd probably hang out with the same people (everyone, leaning towards metalheads/nerds. there weren't really any "punks" at my school).
But I'd definitely actually attend school, pay attention in class and get better grades.

If I could do it over again I probably would bang less really hot chicks. It got boring after I was done with all the cheerleaders.

Then get all drunk, and revert to a ghetto approach.

I played soccer, hockey, and baseball.

But never hung out with the cool kids. I was more into riding my dirt bike or going to shows.

I got okay grades - As Bs and Cs.

Didn't really fit in anywhere @ the catholic HS I went to.
