Not sure who they are, actually. I downloaded it from somewhere - possibly in a podcast? - and dug it, though the off-key vocals can be a bit disturbing at times.

So without a knowledgeable background of some of these bands to shoot off immediate praise I spun this through with a readily available interest in this rock stuff. I would say that, after a few trips from beginning to end, I appreciate this mix for its sound. I can't say I have any particular favorites, nor can I say any track was horrible. The Hotwires, Magazine, and Wire are on my list of which bands to listen more to. I do wonder what the Very Things are about.. do they have a lot of songs like this?

If the moniker of 'Gort' was registered sometime around January 2006 and joined the mix trade, I would think that Ackx4 had doubled his mixes this round. Thanks Gort..

You're welcome, Kapow. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know nothing about The Hotwires at all - as I said above, I'm not even sure where I got the track from. The Very Things are a fairly mysterious band - one album and one single that I know of, and "The Bushes Scream..." is fairly representative of their style. They were closely related to The Cravats, another fine weird outfit.
