And no, it's not the fleshlight, it's better.

Since windows vista won't let me insert hotlinks, you'll just have to cut and paste this link to see it. If someone could post one of the pics, that'd be great.

It's the same bike as I have in India, I've been waiting for the right one at the right price, and it finally came.

Trouble is, I need to try to keep two now, or I'll cry if I have to sell my current ride:

the enfield is such a little fatty, it looks really fun to ride.
where the hell is shokan, NY?
also
2,199 seems awfully cheap for that bike. lucky!

Current ride is a 1974 yamaha dt360 that someone on the NB turned me on to. (tom from out of town?) Bought it last year, worked out the bugs this summer, and I've been tooling around on it since. 2-stroke single cylinder, 0-45 in about 3 seconds, fucking fast, and loud. Starts on the first kick usually. I love it, but I'm an enfield man, so I just hope I can swing two bikes.

I'll try to post a pic of my actual DT--It was actually Dan from providence's friend who sold it to me last year--I get those two providence guys mixed up somehow.

yes
That DT360 was the pride and joy of LEGENDARY BASSIST Sean B...of WATERDOG.

The capital letters make it seem more important.

And, since Sean worked for Dance Hall Crashers later on, and was around Gwen Stafani on tour, if you owned that bike you'd be only 2 degrees away from her.

Ya know, a fleshlight and some duct tape would make it the best of all worlds.

I do love the stealth aspect of the fleshlight.

Leave it lying around while family and friends visit! They'll never be the wiser!

That is, of course, until the power goes out in the christmas snowstorm and mom reaches for what she thought was a flash-light and tries to turn it on. . .

Even then, it's not as awkward as a deak hooker under the christmas tree.

And he's a heckuva nice guy as well. Dan, if you see him, let him know that his baby is doing fine, I put on a new chain, speedo, and fixed the electrical glitches, all registered insured and passed inspection, and I ride her pretty much daily. People stop in the street to gawk at the bike.
Once in mission hill, a cop motioned me over, and I thought oh jeez, he's going to make sure I'm registered, but instead he says, "Wow, that's a cool bike, I always wanted one of those!" and that led to a 10 minute conversation.

Will do. My dad actually had a 68-70 (dunno the exact year) Yamaha DT-1 aka DT250 way back when...when everyone else was either riding unreliable bultacos/maicos etc or heavy 4 stroke hondas. This predates my birth.

Does the big DT ping when it gets hot? I forget...does it have reed valves? Can't remember when they got those...

Makes a little noise when it gets hot, but no problems with power. I don't even know what kind of valves or ports it has--could look it up in the book, though. Best of all, it idles well, that's pretty rare for a two stroke.
It's the best city bike ever, but not really a distance cruiser. Ride for a few hours and it takes it out of you.

If you can afford it, keep the DT360 also. The Bullet is a swell bike but it's still a 60 year British design with a creamy topping of Indian quality control. It's nice to have one bike to ride while the other is getting worked on.

Ah yes, I know the bullet well, rode 6k miles on one in India last year. Actually pretty dependable if you keep a close eye and ear on it. Really simple to work on as well.
