Ordered a pizza from Bertucci's…

They just called him to say there was a bomb scare at Alewife and that our pizza might be a little late.

Anybody hurt? Police blow it up or did it explode on the train?

MBTA Train Evacuated After Threat Made
Man Taken Off Train, Officials Say

POSTED: 11:11 am EDT May 10, 2007
UPDATED: 12:03 pm EDT May 10, 2007

BOSTON -- MBTA officials said they evacuated a train at the Alewife stop in Cambridge Thursday morning as a precaution after a passenger made a verbal threat on board a red line train.

Officials did not say whether the man was arrested but they said he was taken off the train.

Authorities did search the area and located a package, which was detonated as a precaution.

No one was reported injured in the incident, which is under investigation.

It was thrilling. I can see the garage from our office. We walked down there and the Wyeth Security was acting all bold and shit. Tons of cops, fire-dudes, bambulances etc. Yellow tape all 'round. No one could get out or in to CambridgePark Drive.

Yes it was a suspicious package that they blew up whilst my friend and I were standing there. There is a daycare in the T Station. I saw no kids evacuated. What's up with that?

It's been an exciting week here at Alewife.

The other day it was almost as exciting when there were protesters outside of Wyeth. 6 or 7 motorcycle cops, 3 squad cars, and 1 unmarked. For 12 demonstrators who were gone in 20 minutes.
