You must remember that there are people here old enough to have bought that record for $5.96 at Lechmere the day it was released.

$3.99 at the Coop.

I've never heard Kosmic Blues, but I like Big Brother & the Holding Company and Janice's Pearl album.

The original Lechmere Harness Shop in Lechmere Square (the store was named after the square) was bought by Abraham Cohen in 1913, who converted it into a tire store.

Appliances were added in 1948. The second store opened in Dedham, Massachusetts in 1965, and Lechmere became a pioneering chain store in discount electronics.

Lechmere rocked. They used to replace my busted Walkmans for free after I dropped and destroyed them.
