vodka tonics and the olympics. staying away from beer for a while. Beer #2! Ya i'm probably gonna turn on the Olympics after the BC game is over. 2-1 Lowell in the 2nd intermission right now. I haven't had much beer since Christmas, i've mostly been on the gin, but i'm not really expecting to go out tonight, so i'm just having some beer. I have a quart of gin for tomorrow though in the event I do get paid tonight. |

Beer #3!
Ok so i'm probably opening a real can of worms here, but can someone explain to me why everyone is freaking out about Coughlin becoming a mod? I understand the outrage about Lusting_Kay and Hobot being removed as mods, cause they both did a great job, but why all the hate for Coughlin? This is an honest question, as I really don't know much about Coughlin. Really the only posters I talk with on a regular basis are the ones that frequent these Drinkin' Threads, lol. |

Friday's usually find me in an uncontrollably great mood, but today, I just kept getting more aggravated.
SO, tequila, teeny spash of grapefruit and seltzer on the rocks. |

I've noticed my Friday's tend to follow the same trend: From 6am-11am - There's no way i'm drinking or going out. I'm way too tired and I have way too much to do, i'm just gonna chill. From 12-2:30 - I'm debating going out and doing something, but i'm still leaning towards taking it easy. From 2:30-5: I'm bouncing off the walls, just waiting to crack that first beer. 5: First beer(or gin and tonic) is cracked(or poured). This post has been edited by WillyRBeek: Feb 12 2010, 09:05 PM |

I'm six weeks into a pretty sick gym regimen and it was suggested to cool off on the beer, hence grey goose and...ahem....diet tonic. pretty stoked. love the winter olympics. so much more danger than the summer games. not to mention hockey. |

Ya the great thing about the course i'm on now is that we have designated gym time every day, so I get to hit the gym a minimum of 5 times every week. Also of course, the lack of beer since Christmas has also probably helped. Gin and Juice is a lot less fattening then beer. I'm not a big fan of the Winter Olympics to be honest with ya. I love the hockey, it's without question my favorite olympic sport in either olympics, but aside from the hockey, I really don't care much about any of the other sports for the most part. |

As a Canadian, that could actually be a blessing, as our amature's have faired much better in international competition over the last 20 years or so than our pros have. |

Holy shit. I was just in the process of looking up the schedule for Team Canada's hockey games in the Olympics this year and I stumbled upon the 2010 pay charts for the US Military, and it's CRAZY how disproportionate the pay is in your guy's military is when it comes to officers and enlisted personal.
Kind of a random topic, but I was blown away by that. Officers in the Canadian Military get paid a bit more, but the difference isn't all THAT significant. In the US Military though, an Officer with under 2 years in the forces, in the highest paygrade, is making more than an enlisted guy with over 26 years in, in the highest enlisted paygrade... |

Second tequila and grapefruit/seltzer combo, slightly heavier pour this time.

Jesus either i'm getting really old or Team Canada went really young this year for the Olympic hockey team. There's 7 players on this year's roster who are younger than me....
