Adele, Somerville Theatre Tonight Options

Awhile ago I had mentioned Miss Adele was to be appearing on SNL. I was unable to catch it at the time it was live, but some who did, were impressed, but many others had nothing but negative feedback. Most of the complaints were because she sounded out of tune and struggling vocally. I was surprised, but about a month or so later caught a re-run and had to agree.

She played to a sold out Somerville Theatre tonight. I have to tell you - she was amazing. I understand when she initially started touring it was her and a guy doing an all acoustic show, but she now has a full band. FLAWLESS voice. Matter of fact, her voice sounded better live than it does recorded, in fact, there were several times when I closed my eyes, and just couldn't believe what I was listening to was live. There have been only a few vocalists out of the many many many I have seen that during their songs overwhelm me with the beauty of their voice and bring tears to my eyes, she did it several times tonight.

She'll be back - she's being nominated for about 4 or 5 Grammy's including record of the year. My guess is next round will be a much bigger venue. If you were one of the admirers or borderline, I highly suggest seeing her when she comes back. I know i'll be on Ticketmaster at 10:00 a.m. that morning.

What makes her even more of a wonderful experience is how humble and shy she is and so incredibly thankful to her fans. She thanked us all for coming about 20 times. She strikes me as one of those musicians/talents that just never realize how truly talented they are. I have a feeling this is just the beginning of what is to come for this amazing british girl.
