Hey Kev, how about swinging at the first pitch at least once every 100 @ bats? And while you're at it, trying hitting well for more than one month in a season. His average has dropped like a lead dump since May. I think John Donovan from SI says he was batting .236 since the all-star break as of last Monday. Personally, I think Youkilis is an overated crybaby piece of shit and only gets by on his funny last name. He's basically Lou Merloni who can scoop a ball out of the dirt. Jay |

Jay I wouldn't go that far, but I consider him as someone who's fine at this price until someone else comes along via free agency, etc. If Lowell goes and they can sign Youk for a reasonable price I'll take him playing 3rd. |

Agreed. ![]() Youks & his stupid melon head. His batting helmet looks like one of those giant plastic helmet cups you would get with a Slush Puppie. |

Lou Merloni was a winner.
Kevin Eukelis is a bigger winner. |

He doesn't have enough power to be a regular 3rd baseman. He may yet become Doug Minkalphabetowich. |

The guy does get on base and he's not a defensive liability. I'll take him so long as the price is right and you can put him at the bottom of the order, or maybe a number 2 hitter. |

Even funnier that the Yankees AND the Sox both let go of Carlos Pena, who is having a big year for the D-Rays (27 HRs). I think Pena is one of those Freddy Sanchez/Hanley Rameriez types who need to play in front of 136 people each night in order to succeed. Carlos Pena has bopped around for years. Good luck to the guy. Jay |
