From billboard.com:
As expected, AC/DC will embark on an 18-month world tour beginning this October in Wilkes Barre, Pa. Creative Artists Agency managing partner Rob Light confirmed the news during a touring panel today (July 28) at the 83rd annual IAAM conference and trade show in Anaheim, Calif. Light didn't reveal further details about the trek, which will come in support of AC/DC's upcoming Wal-Mart exclusive release. A single is expected to hit radio in August. |

yeah. walmart is for suckers. inevitably i will at some drunk point
start making connections between the commercial success of the band in the post-Bon Scott (RIP), and how much Brian Johnson loves WalMart because they sell vaccum cleaners, just like he used to. inevitably. |

I would say at this point in their career, those lovely gents in AC/DC are doing this as a hobby, and when some scurvy-eye'd record flunkie whispers in their ear that an exclusive deal at Walmart is how they should go about their business, they nod in agreement, and then wander off to the pub.
Cliff wonders briefly what they just agreed to, but then forgets about it when Malcolm promises that on this album, he'll be allowed to do more than just ride the E in 4-4. Phil just smokes and calls the rest of the band a bunch of pillow biting wankers. Because Phil Rudd is the epitome of cool. Even if he does set a bad example by smoking. In semi-related news, the new RPG album is either their Let There Be Rock or their Powerage. |

Interesting because their live show is one of the best on the planet with one of the most glorious set lists in rock and they never phone it in. I wish they'd play every Friday at the Garden. |

Forever and ever, the greatest rock band out there. As for the set list, I'll have to disagree, due to the lack of Powerage and Flick of the Switch songs. Still, hearing the same old same old won't stop me from seeing them live every chance I can. |

Remember Yngwie Malmsteen toured with them as an opener? What a weird ass bill, saw it at the Garden (Fly on the Wall tour).

It was one of the best AC/DC sets i've ever seen. As for HWGS.....that dude has never missed an AC/DC show in Boston, Providence, Worcester. The sound of Angus Young's guitar thundering away in an arena is truly one of the most awe inspiring things in the world. I missed them last tour, gotta catch them this time around. |

Was thinking the same thing. Between HDM, Bon, and Lynott, I don't know how much more personality and sheer COOL could fit into the Aragon Theater... Fucking amazing.
