Due to being caught up in the Presidential race and then getting a horrible case of the vomits Tuesday night due to accidentally swallowing a mouth full of ocean water earlier in the day, I failed to notice that Liddy Dole lost her Senate seat. I am very happy about this, as she proved in her re-election campaign what a piece of shit, fear-monging, God warrior she is. Good riddance.

Trivia note: 2009 will be the first year since 1952 that will have neither a Bush nor Dole serving in elective office (ie, congress, governor, president/VP)

Interesting. I did not know that. Also, I'm not upset by that. Bob Dole was and is a good man. His wife saw the writing on the wall and went in to the wild cat offense. Or "Offence" from your point of view. The problem with trick plays is they only work the first one or two times you try them. McCain made the same mistake or also saw it as his only chance. |

Unfamiliar with Elizabeth Dole, with some surprise I assumed they were referring to this guy: ![]() |

And yes, Liddy's Hail Mary pass of running ads telling people to not vote for her opponent because "she doesn't believe in God" was disgusting. I'm glad she lost. Dole had no shot and he probably knew it. |

I read somewhere that she was responsible for the drinking age being 21.
So fuck her. |

okay by me. the last thing i want to deal with when i'm at a bar is a bunch of idiot teenagers. It's not like they stop being idiots when they turn 21. All the higher drinking age does is force college kids to binge drink behind closed doors. If you're old enough to join the military and vote, you should be able to drink legally. |

hmmm I AM going to be in Hoboken tomorrow night... elk c'mon over to Maxwell's and bring some chicks Yup, I knew this was heading in this direction. I go to Jerz to surf when it sucks here. That's it. Nothing else can get me over there. And if you really want to drink with teenage girls you should go to Connely's in Rockaway next summer. It's where all the life guard chicks go to get wasted on frozen margaritas when their shift ends. It's pretty much across the street from the police station, so off duty cops go in there to slam high school girls. Yeah, Rockaway. |

Nothing like a discussion of Elizabeth Dole to get the dudes hopped up for banging chicks.
