Well, I think a lot of Beatles fans know that while John was certainly funny in the madcap way, the real dry humor was with George. Ringo was no slouch either. Paul never really seemed that outwardly funny but he defintely had the "Beatles essence" to him and that made him funny by default. Also his own mannerisms were very funny (even though it was unintentionally). So I suppose Paul was indeed funny. |

i know youre just joshing cuz im an aetheist No, I'm serious. LSD opened a lot of spiritual doors for George. He was really overwhelmed by Beatlemania and felt that its incredible fame was shallow. When he got into LSD it really did have an intense spiritual effect on him. |

When you posted that Teach Yourself George Harrison YouTube clip recently, the dude portraying Let It Be-era Paul (~1:34) made me howl with laughter. |

if you read Michael Palin's diaries (which rock) you'd learn all about GH being the funny one... though I suppose you don't need to read that to learn about Handmade Films...

George was hysterical. I love when they're talking about Epstein's death in the "Anthology" book; the quotes from John, Paul, and Ringo are serious and George mentions Leggy Mountbatten from "The Rutles".
Also, "I'd rather be an ex-Beatle than an ex-Nazi" is just hilarious. |

The one in which he does "Teach Yourself Paul" is fuckin' brilliant. I love how he notes Paul's more up to date voice is croakier. Also, the key to learning Paul is the "Whhooooo". |

Linda was the funny one, trust me. The British accent she puts on for those early interviews is a howl.
