Whats up with the "Sparky" comeback?

as in "none of your business Sparky".

is that a colloquialism? or do people say that all over the US?

I wonder about that place as well.
There's two places less than a block from each other there, both Peruvian, both called Machu Piccu.
Haven't tried them yet but I'd like to know what the deal is.

would someone not too adventerous with food find something you think? my fella doesn't like things to be too spicy or too "different." but, see, i do. so i'm constantly looking for places where we could both be happy with the menu. and we live about 2 minutes from this place!

There's still a little lunchcounter-looking place on the corner there though... the sign still says Machu Pichu and there's Peruvian stuff in the window... its weird. Maybe someone else took the old place over from them, and just didn't change the sign? I've seen the nice new one near Sally O'Briens too and I'm dyin to try that one.

Now... has anybody been to the Creole restaurant near Highland and Walnut? Dying to try it but a little afraid of not being very welcome...I had similar experiences with Cape Verdean creole joints in Pawtucket.

I would prefer to work with middle to lower class people from New England.
Wait, that's not entirely true...middle to low class people from outside the US are okay, too.

I've had a few people all tell me that their reception was not warm, but it always smells gangbusters!

Wish I could remember the name of the one place in particular... its over in that neighborhood behind the UHaul building, where Ocean State Drums is. I used to live over there and it was my closest bar and always seemed to have good smelling food wafting out. But, the few times I tried to go in I got the hairy eyeball and sort of felt like it was a 'family' joint and I was very much intruding. I don't have any problem with that, actually, but I am now less likely to go traipsing into joints without checking first.

Sweet! My goal this upcoming summer is to try one ethnic cuisine (that I haven't tried) a month. I want to try the Afghani restaurant outside of Porter too!
