As are lots of St. Patt's day marches around our great nation ... first time since 1940.

I'm sure all good Boston Irish Catholics will choose religious observance over drunken revelry, and puke-brawling along the parade route, no ?

They took you up to midnight mass and left you in the lurch
So you dropped a button in the plate and spewed up in the church

Flip - the parade in Boston is actually the Evacuation Day Parade.

Anyhow - it now resembles a Jimmy Buffet concert more than anything now. Ah, the good ol' days. Getting loaded along with the cops and booing Jesse Jackson.

On the good side, you'll hear the word nigga at Disney more than you will in Southie now.

I always thought people "evacuated" more on the day after the parade ?

doesn't matter what actual day.
as some local comic once said, "a hundred thousand irish guys who've been drinking all weekend? what could possibly go wrong?"

Wow, they must have really changed the "it's a small world" ride when it was being "renovated" last time I was there.
