Just a note that the annual Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon fundraiser is underway today (Thurs 8/16) and tomorrow, even during the Sox doubleheader. As someone who has seen first hand the unbelievable work that they do over at Dana Farber (my youngest sister is alive today thanks to the amazing doctors and staff over at Dana Farber/Brigham & Women's), I ask you to consider making a donation to help them in their fight against pediatric and adult cancer. Any amount that you can pledge helps.

You can donate by phone at (877) 738-1234, or secure online at Jimmy Fund Online.

I'm pretty sure that the both sports fans and sports haters alike can get behind this effort. I challenge the usual Sox/Yanks rule/suck/douche panel to contribute.

If anyone wants to contribute to the Jimmy Fund after this telethon,
I am doing the Boston Marathon walk this year, and am trying to raise
$1000. The walk is in about a month, but contributions can be made
up to November 1st. Send me a PM if you would like to help me out.
