Have you heard the album yet? Thoughts? (Aside from the production.) The single kind of sucks. Is Zakk Wylde even trying anymore? The song sounds like a lame BLS riff.

That's why I am commenting on how it sounds. I haven't liked a full album from Ozzy since No More Tears. Ozzmosis had a couple of good songs, especially Perry Mason. Other than that, I think he's put out complete schlock on his last album and the new one. The production has everything to do with it. Production = Song choices, writing, arrangements, lyrics, presentation, style, performance, etc. |

P.S. I agree, the whole album sounds like a lame BLS riff. Zack needs to re-learn how to write music.

made the mistake of buying his last album...
i thought Zakk was a great player in the late 80's --- the Live & Loud set was pretty good too but No More Tears, still don't like it that much, not sure why so many considered it a return to form... and what's up with the 'twist of cain' riff on the title track ? last good song by Ozzy was Back on Earth |

Ozzy should be getting better riffs than that. made the mistake of buying his last album... i thought Zakk was a great player in the late 80's --- the Live & Loud set was pretty good too but No More Tears, still don't like it that much, not sure why so many considered it a return to form... and what's up with the 'twist of cain' riff on the title track ? last good song by Ozzy was Back on Earth I don't know about a "return to form" but I did think No More Tears was a great album. |

I almost think Ozzy is trying to latch into a younger crowd that likes that Riff heavy sludge he takes out on ozzfest this year . It will chart well as the cd's have codes in them to get the free tix for the summer . |

Not really feeling his new CD. I haven't really liked anything since "The Ultimate Sin" anyway.... It seems like for years he puts out albums with like 2 or 3 good songs and a lot of filler.

I gotta agree wiht with my bro Eddie Trunk, kinda goofy...
Black Rain is a good song but it sounds too "modern". Might come around to it. -V- |

I don't think it sounds modern. One of the things I used to like about Ozzy is that everything he did always sounded modern. No More Tears sounded modern at the time. "Perry Mason" was modern at the time. Even the two new songs he did with Sabbath a few years ago sounded new. It sounded like black sabbath, but it sounded new. The two latest albums? I don't find them modern at all. I find them to be a regression.

How would she afford her lifestyle? She SHOULD let him make his own decisions about music though. It's sad how much more vobrant Iommi and Co. sound without him... That's part of the reason why I was so excited to see Dio with Sabbath. Ad least they sound good now. Not like a good band playing their asses off with a catatonic lead singer looking like a beaten down hobo not knowing he's even on stage. I don't think it's sad really. It's fucking pathetic. I lost all respect for Ozzy after that God awful show. What a fucking farce. And people actually watch it because our piss fuck culture loves to watch train wrecks on TV just to make themselves feel better about their own miserable little lives. It's like the Romans throwing the Christians to the lions. |

Yeh , the Sabbath with dio shows they really still can do it , glad Bill ward was not doing the tours as well , as good as he once was , he just can't do a 2 hour show anymore . |
