i liked yours a lot.

i especially like that the tracking on the cd is as unpredictable as the bands were/are. wink.gif

your mix is really cool, but none of these bands are cover bands. Are you confused? Maybe you're trying to be funny & I'm just a stick in the mud?

fun to hear these classic boston bands in the live setting. I missed the heydays of many of these bands. My overriding feeling was that it would have been great to have been at the shows.
Hang on Sloopy was a favorite.

Did you do these recordings? If not, how'd you get 'em?

I don't tape them, i got them from decades of collecting, some from radio, some from trading, some from bit torrent.I loved all of those bands and saw them live a bunch.More people went to shows then. Listen to some of those crowd sounds. Some of those bands are still out there pounding them out! See 'em while you can! Sometimes the fuegoes would do hang on sloopy, end it, do a kind of false start thing, and then do the whole thing again. That recording is from lyon france in 87, soundboard recording for a radio broadcast that never happened.

can you list all the sources and stuff? in a historical reference kind of way...

who originally did that dogmatics track? what station was that for WMBR? it gave me goosebumps....

I LOVE stuff like this....

and again...this should be a REAL CD

i will try to dig up the sources! I, too love that Dogmatics piece, I kept the banter in on purpose, as it is awesome and truly reflects that time on Thayer St. That one is from a wers fundraising week in maybe 85? I will look. Same as the Johnny Angel and the O'Positive.

I remember my buddies wanting to go over thayer street and play street hockey but we never did.

instead we played hallway hockey and then some ice hockey on the fens and intramural at Boston Arena/matthews Arena
