Musical Magician (145-180 points)
We doff our collective hat to your prodigious mind. You are a musical czar, with a profound knowledge of every genre and era. You met your current flame at a concert and, come to think of it, most of your friends too. You're always looking for the chance to pass on recommendations, knowing that if any of your disciples buy your suggestion it will change their lives the same way it has yours. Your love of music is genuine and deep and you match that passion with intellect. Because of that – let's face it – you're also the person that some folks love to hate. But who cares? Let's see their record collection! At this point, one can only take advantage of new ways to discover music and brush up on any obscure genres one might have missed.

thank you very much

laughing.gif I had to guess on at least four - I would like to thank Multiple Choice for making me the birthday party DJ that I am today. oh, and baby Jesus too, of course.

Birthday Party DJ (73-108 points)
You are a rabid consumer of music. You get a rush every time you hear something new but remain faithful to those artists you love. Your music collection represents who you are and what you care about and your home may even bear the tell-tale signs of your affections – posters, old band t-shirts and the odd music biography. But you aren't a completist, you know what you like and make sure you have it. Simple as that. To expand your repertoire, perhaps there are some genres that you'd benefit from giving a little more attention to – perhaps now is the time to hear something new or get hold of that missing album from your collection.

I had to guess on at least six.

Mix-Tape Master (109-144 points)
You are a music evangelist: the person in your network of friends who always has the coolest new song, the one whose iPod gets picked to DJ every party. You understand the art of the segue, how the key to the best mix-tape isn't just the songs you pick, but how they interlock with each other. You also know who the up-and-coming acts are and are quick to recognise where their influences lie and whether they will make it big. You work hard at the pursuit of this knowledge, scouring music blogs, magazines and record stores. Most importantly, you are generous with your passion – and your friends should be very, very grateful. Still, it’s always good to get new inspiration for your latest mix.

Heh.

The ones I got wrong concerned Coldplay, MF Doom, and Basement Jaxx.

I'm out of step with the younger generation.

I didn't even check what I got right or wrong....I answered Daffodils for that, but it was a complete guess.

I got this same exact score, also with several guesses about the music the kids listen to.

Apparently, I'm a "Mix-Tape Master". I got 129.

Considering I know NOTHING about most current music, I suppose that's not too bad. I'm the last one anyone comes to for party music!

Holy shit, I am a Mix-Tape Master (final score was 129/180)! I thought I did way worse than that. Must have made some lucky guesses.

...Oh wait, I can check my answers...

I did have lucky guesses on questions #13, 15, and 20.

That was fun.
