Be careful. Diversity Danny might give you a slap on the wrist. what does "diversity" have to do with anything? the vast majority of Americans live in urban regions. According to the 2000 census data, it's 80% urban vs 20% rural. So yeah, where there are more people concentrated in specific areas (cities), you will have higher unemployment. |

It will be awesome. Hutchinson and Perry will be campaigning on Who Will Secede Texas the Fastest, McCain and that BorderPatrol Teabagger will campaign on Who Will Shoot The Most Latinos, the Idaho governors race will be about 'hunting down Obama'...etc, etc, etc.
The 'Conservative/Moderate' lump in Havsy's thread title is a laugh. The Tent Of Freedom will tolerate NO 'moderation'. |

The Tent Of Freedom will tolerate NO 'moderation'. In summer 2004 it was patently obvious the Democrats were going to nutbag themselves into another blown opportunity. The got smart in 2005. They kept Howard Dean on board to make sure the kook cash came in. Right up until the summer 2006 Schumer, Pelosi, Reid, et al were allowed to keep the kook base happy. Then when the election heated up they were not allowed with in 500ft of a cable news microphone. Schumer and Emanuel spent years grooming moderate democrats and pushed them in winnable seats. Guess what? Their eyes are off the prize now. By mid-summer the moderate Republicans will be all over the tubes telling America that Democrats since 2006 have not kept one promise. That Obama lied to them repeatedly. You guys had your tent of freedom fun last year. It was funny. It was true. The key words though are last year. Virtual light years away in election time from this November. This post has been edited by mhaverty: Jan 7 2010, 03:33 PM |

Obama is fulfilling his promises on Iraq/Afghanistan, Healthcare, torture, etc. Some HUGE shit that no one has been able to do for decades. The only evidence that Obama and the Dems have to present to confirm that the GOP is full of feces are things like this- You still HAVE your gun, despite what you've been lied to about by the GOP Your gramma is still kicking, despite what you've been lied to about by the GOP We have not been overrun by Mooslin Terriers, despite what you've been lied to about by the GOP Your taxes have not been raised, despite what you've been lied to about by the GOP etc, etc, etc. The GOP has overplayed the hysteria card to an astounding degree. |

Well... statically... states with democratic congressional delegations have higher rates of unemployment. States that voted for Obama have unemployment rates 20% higher than the states that voted for McCain. Source? I just ran the numbers on unemployment per state for November, the last month for which the Bureau of Labor Statistics have published. Avg for McCain states: 8.05% Avg for Obama states: 9.18% That's about a 12% difference, in case you're wondering. |

Maybe even sexist, and DEFINITELY Socialist. We don't need any 'numbers' getting in the way of FREEDOM! |

Dood. Fiscal Responsibilty was gong to return. So was a new era of open government and no back room deals or dirty political tricks in congress. The numbers don't lie. The air is coming out of the baloon. |

I memba how the good folks of South Carolina were RIGHT BEHIND Governor Appalachian Trail when he was saying that he'd turn down stimulus funds in the name of Fiscal Responsibility, bra! He STUCK to his guns though.... ...or did he? |

The air is coming out of the baloon. Plus, bra, whatever 'dirty tricks' the Dems are guilty of are going to be drowned out in a tsunami of the most vile, partisan, hysterical, manic politicing since Rove castrated McCain in SC in 2000. The Teabaggers are going to make it a shrieking match that will make the Dems look sage, trustworthy, and reasonable by comparison. Wait for it. I can't |

The only person in the United States thinking about that on the 1st Tuesday in November will be you! Remember when you said Virginia might have just turned Blue for good? That was awesome. All you can talk about now is a tic turd district in upstate NY instead about the Republican sweep in VA. |

Bra, if the GOP had the sense to keep promoting Bob McDonnell style dudes, it might be a different story. But they don't- it'll be Chuck Norris vs Joe T Plumber. They'll run Michelle Bachmann against Susan Collins, 'cause the latter isn't Freedomcentric enough. |
