Did you see this show?

I wish. Incredibly, the Youngs were meticluous about record keeping and writing things down - they have an archive of just about everyone of their shows at http://ac-dc.net/

Oh gawd. As much as I love AC/DC, Brian Johnson really has seen MUCH better days. Most of the time of late, when he sings it's almost like he's trying to hack out bits of his lungs. Was watching the AC/DC multi-DVD release a few weeks ago. His singing of any Bon Scott songs (like Ride On) was beyond painful (sucked big donkey dick).

AC/DC with Brian at the helm is clearly beyond it's prime....and then some. The band should have a Fox TV show called AC/DC Rockstar.....and hire a new singer .........ROFLMAO.

I love Bon Scott, but my favorite time period for ACDC is 81-86ish. Prolly because I saw them a few times in that time period. I just thought they were a pretty mighty and powerful live band at that point.

That version of "Ride On" is atrocious. Inexcusable, really.

I thought, despite Mr. Johnson's increasingly limited abilities, the other Bon era stuff turned out just fine, in particular "Gone Shootin'."

And furthermore, while the band will never reach the heights of the Bon years and early Brian Johnson years, they still manage to knock at least three songs out of the park on each album. Hang it up? Pish posh!

And no on the new vocalist. Sony would definitely make them pick one through a reality TV show. And hire Velvet Revolver to judge.

I was impressed by how well Gone Shootin' sounded - then again that was from the VH studios in 1996.

I had a mp3 of them tearing through "Riff Raff" but some odd fuck-up with Windows Media Player managed to permanently delete it.

That was also the last time I intentionally used WMP.

Back to the subject of that last DVD, it's odd that there are huge gaps in time with some of the material. Almost nothing from Fly on the Wall to Blow Up Your Video.

Fly On The Wall is by far the least impressive AC/DC album. The tour was great, but that album sucked. That was the album that made me lose a bit of interest in them - until Ballbreaker came along.

It has some keepers – "Sink the Pink," "Back in Business" being the most immediate two. Maybe also "Danger."

Awful production, though.

And anyway, I'm still not sure why that DVD had multiple versions of the same songs when they could've had a wider sampling.

I think it would rule if they got Motorhead to open for them.

That would be fuckin' crazy.

This would be a cool stadium show lineup:

Motorhead

Iggy and The Stooges

AC/DC
