She made going to the bar to grab drinks during a packed TT's show a pleasure (well, okay. less of a PITA than other places). One of the nicest, people I've met at any of the clubs in the area, and she was the first person to pour me a real shot in Boston back in the mid 90's. I can't imagine the club without her, but as has been said before, she will always be there.

Very sad to see her obituary in the paper this morning. She was a nice person and a real mainstay in the scene. Jeanne's Obit from the Globe |

Loved her. She was awesome, and I'm really going to miss her.
That place will absolutely never be the same without her. It just seems like yesterday I was standing outside TT's and talking to her and catching up. RIP Jeanne. |

I saw Jeannie walking down Brookline Street a few weeks ago. I was in my car and could not stop, but I remember thinking that she looked good, so maybe she was beating the ever so evil cancer. I had seen Spencer Gates at my 20th anniversary party, and thought the same and she also ended up leaving this world far too soon. Jesus, life is so fragile. You can look great and be gone so soon.
That being said, TT's is NEVER going to be the same for me, and others who have said it here. TT's was Jeannie. Always smiling and coming over even if she was in the middle of mixing up a big order, just to greet and acknowledge your presence. The image of this tears me up knowing she is gone forever. I fucking HATE cancer. R.I.P. to an old reliable friend who made life so enjoyable on those seemingly endless cold and tired nights when I should have been home sleeping. But, Jeannie was always there working her ass off and always smiling. This post has been edited by Carmelita: Feb 17 2009, 03:01 PM |

Jeanne was a dynamite person, I first met her when she worked at JACK's, which was a long, long time ago.
I always liked seeing her, and she will be missed... |

Thanks for posting that, Corin. It was beautifully written and heartfelt.
I wish I had known there was a website for Jeanne. I wish I had made it to her wake tonight. I couldn't get a ride and got hopelessly lost trying to make there alone in a dark car with bad yahoo.com directions. It's hard to find closure when you can't say goodbye to an old friend who's been a part of my world for so many years. Rest in peace, Jeanne. |

A nice piece by Johnathan Perry:

I was surprised to see a nice article about Jeanne in the Metro this morning.
Like many have said here, I never really got to know her well, but she treated the bands well when we played TT's. Rest in peace. |

She was a good friend who I will sorely miss, many a late-night drink, and I'm talking super-duper late, was served by her in and out of the club. I hope there's a cocktail waiting for you in the rock club in the sky.

She was a class act and I'm really am upset I couldn't be there to honor her memory at the funeral. She was always so good to both Sandy and I.
