The Police meets The Killers meets 30 Seconds To Mars...Established all originals progressive rock/new wave/punk/power pop trio “Elsewhere” seeks top notch bass player for interim and possible long term assignment. The band’s influences include Rush, The Police, Zeppelin, 70’s-early 80’s Genesis, 80’s U2, Early 80’s new wave, The Sex Pistols, Minor Threat, Appreciation for grunge and 90’s modern rock as well as early 80’s Def Leppard, Ratt, and the like. We have gigs, practice space in the metro west area, a PA, and a recording project in process. You should be a male, younger than 40, with the ability, desire, and drive to create thumping sonic atmospheres on your bass guitar. These atmospheres must be as important as the notes you play. Experience playing live, recording, and at least an adequate knowledge of music theory mandatory. Ability to sing backup vocals, write original material, play keys/synth and/or sequencer programming also a plus. Willingness to have music/work/life balance important too. Interested candidates should contact Mike at (617) 852-2238 or email elsewhereband@yahoo.com.

We have recently received some favorable press in Europe for our new project as well, and have been now talking to small independent record labels, mostly in Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. A recent release of our video was also quite successful and gained us a good amount of exposure. Please note the following links for more info. Other press info can be furnished upon request.
