This is the first post (including the title of this thread) to contain no discernible spelling or grammatical errors.

However, that's a good question. I've seen his wife at a few of his debates, but never his kids. I didn't even know he had children until my girlfriend told me the other day. Are they really young?

Anyway - my personal thought is that some political consultant basically decided that, while America may be ready for a black president, its voters will have a hard time with a black first family.

I think a consultant would actually say that.

He has two young daughters which is why you probably don't see Michelle out all the time (but it's not like she's invisible. I've seen her here and there)

His wife speaks often, mostly at rallies. She kept mispronouncing "Nevada" when Obama was there. The press doesn't show much footage of her now, probably because they gain more headline fodder following Bill around.

I think it's simply that the kids are in school and his wife is at home taking care of them (most of the time). Have no fear, Michelle Obama will make a fine First Lady. I saw her interviewed a while back and she comes across as very genuine.
