Gotta love the way this weekend's games turned out. Obviously happy about the Pats win...but add to that seeing the Colts getting upset, and the Cowboys losing...so, so sweet.

What's going to be sweetest about this (if it happens) is that this Superbowl is going to be New England Vs. The World, as everyone other than Pats fans are going to be rooting for Favre to win one to retire on. Heck, a piece of me will be a little sad to see (if it happens) Favre get denied.

Anyway, talk about the stuff that absolutely legendary Superbowls are made of.

Hope it comes down to this.

I hate to look past a week's opponent (especially when you're talking about the AFC Championship Game) but for me, the most exciting part of a Packer showdown in the Bowl is the idea of seeing a fresh opponent.

That being said, every fan at Gillette within ear shot of "Cry-Me-A" Rivers needs to remind him that it was Volek's drive that got him into this game.

While this Charger team is playing at a much higher level than week 2, I just don't see them marching out of Foxboro with a W. Honestly, I believe Jacksonville was a bigger threat.

You're absolutely right. Favre is a media darling (and deservedly so) and if that matchup takes place, everyone in the football world will be routing for his "season of destiny" to end with a Superbowl win over the undefeated Pats, preventing the greatest season in NFL history.

.....especially Mercury Morris.

i hope Favre wins it all

1. bc i'm a cheesehead
2. so i don't have to hear anymore of this "best team EVA" bs

but if he doesn't, it's okay, he's still on top of his game and will play at least one more season

The right side of the SD line got them here. Volek did a pretty good impersonation of Phil Simms and Doug Williams though. The pats need to score more than 24 to win I think. Maroney ripping off big runs was very encouraging I must say.

Wes Welker is the grind game king with Randy keeping them honest.

I keep hearing on ESPN about how the Chargers will be able to shut down Randy Moss. Fine! Go ahead! Dude had ONE catch against the Jags. I fail to see how shutting Moss down does much for you with Stallworth and Wes "Crazy White Guy" Welker around.

A Pats/Pack SB would also pit the top 2 vote getters in the MVP balloting against one another.

I would like to interupt this thread to ask the following question:

Did I just hear a white dude on ESPN say a running back "ripped off a lil' sumpin' sumpin' real proper like"?
