I had the action figure itself, but never got the bike for some reason.

I had a Stretch Armstrong! It was awesome until it leaked all over my closet. Mom wasn't happy.

I remember punching one of them when I was 11 or 12. I figured the jelly would form a mold of my fist. It didn't. Thought I broke my hand it hurt so much.

That tale ain't anywhere near as good as the Stretch Armstrong story Coughlin is talking about.

I wanted one of those too! I feel your pain - my mom being as OCD and paranoid as she is, thought It would burn the house down. Uhm - its only 100W light bulb - we have the adult version now!

I actually did pay 35 bucks for the Thing at a comic convention quite a few years ago...very anticlimactic for the memory of little me not having quite enough left in my allowance to but it at the monthly trip to Spag's,
spending what I did have on something entirely stupid, then having Mom say; "I would have given you the extra money if you hadn't blown yours on those things."
- Then to have Mego discontinue the FF dolls before I could get it. He was just Hulk with a different head and pajamas...almost as stupid as the Tarzan that they made with a flesh colored suit under his loin-cloth.
I always liked Hulk better, anyway - he could kick Ben's ass and you can still find a Mego doll on the cheap.

I saw this on the Graham Norton Show a long time ago. Its twisted - yet funny - then again so is he. If you've never seen his show I highly suggest you rent the Best of Graham Norton. He used to be on BBC late at night but i'm not sure if he still is.
