Cowboy shirts are awesome! You don't know what you are talking about. You obviously havent seen the polling where Tshirts now have more support than cowboy shirts. Jerseys wins Tshirts the west and the effect of his mormonism will be no worse than it was for v-neck to be a Catholic. Tshirts has the south locked up and cowboy shirts knows it. That is why he has to have CO, NV, NM, and UT and MI to have any chance. Jerseys helps far more than he hurts in those key states. As the race went on in each state Jerseys cut in to the evangelical votes that Hoodie got. It is called a trend. Since he bowed out enthusiasum for Jerseys in the conservative base has grown. I suppose you didn't hear the boos during pullover red meat speech during his tax cut lie and his jumping on the hawk train against Russia. Cowboy shirts run to the middle kills his base. Pullover is only going to make it worse in their desparte attempt to win over white males. |

I'm going to list all my predicitions about cowboy shirts that came true.
- That yesterday I would wear a solid color western shirt - That Buck Owens would wear one at his last concert - That Danny does not like cowboy shirts This post has been edited by Maximum Tor: Aug 28 2008, 11:46 AM |

No it doesn't. It screams, "Hey look at that dude looking at my cowboy shirt and scowling. He must be vegan." actually, I would bet that the vast majority of clowns wearing cowboy shirts in the Cambridge/Somerville/Allston triangle of irony would be most assuredly vegans themselves, or at least they would claim to be when trying to pick up on Sock Hop/Tattoed/Pierced girls dressed like the unholy offpsring of Lucille Ball and Marylin Manson. |

See, this is where your perception of the so-called Triangle of Irony shows itself to be confused and ignorant. They're not trying to "pick up" those girls. They're merely trying to round 'em up and herd 'em up to the railhead in Methuen. |

I didn't read the cowboy shirt thread but I'm wondering what the status of bowling shirts and mechanic shirts are.

Don't you wear Budweiser jackets, scally caps and Social Distortion shirts? No budweiser jacket. I have a local Buenos Aires Soccer jersey from a team called CARP (Club Athletico Rio Plata) that just happened to have Budweiser as it's sponsor name. Actually the new one I have from that team has "Petrobras" as it's sponsor now. Although admittedly 90% of the people who saw me wear it were more interested in the "Bud" sponsor logo than the team. Yes, I have a couple of Scallys and one Social D. shirt. I realize that in the eyes of some noiseboarders this makes me painfully pedestrian and "mainstream". It also doesn't make me stand out in a crowd or scream "hey everybody, look at me, I'M DRESSING WEIRD FOR ATTENTION...." ....so I've got that going for me. |

I would argue that wearing a Buenos Aires Soccer jersey says you want to stand out and be different. Other than that, this thread is gold and Tor and Benehehanan win at this internet. |

I would argue that wearing a Buenos Aires Soccer jersey says you want to stand out and be different. Considering that everyone here who talks of people wearing Social D shirts to be lame, also considers people who wear sports jerseys/sports logo clothing of any kind to be yet more evidence of them being "pedestrian" or lame, not really. |

Actually, the one picture I've seen of you wearing that sports jersey/Budweiser shirt doesn't make you look so much "pedestrian" or "lame" as "downs" or "mongo." |
