I don't think it's even possible anymore to take public transportation without having to hear at least one of these. I don't normally mind the "Hey honey, I'm on my way, be at the station in 15 minutes." type. Everybody does that. But the 20 minute gossip fest or pseudo-bragging about office confrontations with co-workers is kind of retarded. |

Yeah, this is a ridiculous complaint.
People should feel free to move their bowels right there next to you on the T and if you don't give 'em a Kleenex so they can wipe themselves thereafter you're some kind of Margaret Dumont straitlaced prude. |

I agree, eating almost ANY food on the T is usually pretty fucking nasty.
Especially on the subway, like when some guy is standing eating a whopper during rush hour ... always blows my mind. But I've taken the commuter rail and having to sit near someone chomping away on snacks is usually offputting. |

This morning on the ol' 57 bus, I turned to the elderly woman seated next to me for assistance but she couldn't understand what I was saying so I'm not gonna ride that bus again until I learn the Chinese for "Hey lady, help me out here with this colonoscopy."

goddamnit, what the hell are we allowed to eat?! It's not a question of what. It's where and when. Eat whatever gross stinky food that contents you int eh privacy of your own home. When you're in public or a shared space like an office with people who aren't your spouse/better half/family - have some respect and keep the stink and the noise to a minimum. |
